“The Lion King” hits $1 billion mark and it’s not alone

The classic 1994 animated film remake has earned $360.9 million at the US box office, whilst making an additional $638.5 million internationally. On Monday, the total for the film stood at $999.4 million. All this considering that on its opening weekend, the film was given a score of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics found that whilst the animation and effects were stunning, the musical numbers were boring.

In Tomorrowland, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor will see an all new show, the Tomorrowland Speedway will be filled with thousands of lights and new décor and Space Mountain will too have new lights and high energy music!

In Fantasyland, new lights and music will feature on the Mad Tea Party in four different combinations.

Magic Kingdom Crowds

Major Delays At Magic Kingdom This Morning

Guests are reporting on Twitter that there have been huge queues this morning at Guest Services. A system failure at the gates are preventing theme parks tickets from being scanned and allowing access. It seems guests with magic bands are unaffected and are able to enter the park. With many people giving up and going home and the blistering heat, free water is being dispensed to cool people down.

Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse dies aged 75

The actress was also well know for her part in The Simpsons, playing Bart's nerdy classmate Martin. Mirroring the Mickey and Minnie characters, Taylor was married to Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey, until his death in 2009.

Bob Iger, Disney's chairman and chief executive, paid tribute to Taylor in a statement released on Saturday.

"For more than 30 years, Minnie and Russi worked together to entertain millions around the world - a partnership that made Minnie a global icon and Russi a Disney Legend beloved by fans everywhere," said Mr Iger.

Club Cool’s “Beverly” Currently Unavailable

As you may or may not be aware, Club Cool, Epcot’s soft drink tasting station in conjunction with Coca-Cola, will be closing it’s doors on 8th September 2019. This is due to the ongoing transformation for Epcot, named Project Gamma.

One thing that seems to be standing out in the run up to the fateful day, is the availability of some of the soft drinks, Melon Frosty for example, which disappeared this month only to reappear at selected stations a few days later.

Disney has just revealed a new dog and owner wardrobe collection aptly called 'Oh My Disney Dog'. The collection features Disney's favourite dogs such as the cocker spaniel Lady from Lady and the Tramp, Charles Muntz golden retriever Dug from Up, and Prince Eric's English sheepdog Max from The Little Mermaid.

Woman Receives Lifetime Ban from Disney World After Violent Altercation with Employee

According to the Miami Herald, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the Chicago woman became displeased and verbally aggressive learning that her FastPass was invalid, prompting Disney World employee Taylor Gragert to call security.

Grines began to push buttons on the Tower of Terror control podium, According to the report, some of which “could affect the ride”. When the Disney World employee Gragert, 23, tried to stop her, the outraged visitor punched her in the face causing minor swelling around the eye.
