Disney clamps down on dining scams and touts... home run or own goal?

Disney regulars will be well aware of how difficult it can be to book some of the premium dining experiences, in particular 'Be Our Guest' in the castle, which is regularly booked solid six months in advance. Recently it seems to have come to light that this is down to ticket touts block booking every space at popular dining experiences, then re-selling them at a premium.

Duffy the Disney Bear leaving EPCOT

The days of Duffy the Disney Bear greeting guests at Epcot are numbered, Walt Disney World officials have confirmed.

Duffy has never really hit it off with Walt Disney World guests and so he's going to be replaced by Daisy Duck. The last day that the Duffy character will have meet and greet duties at his World Showcase stop will be Oct. 3.

Disney World will break ground on Star Wars lands in 2016

After much speculation, Disney have announced that construction will start on Star Wars lands at both Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim, California, next year.

The groundbreaking dates were announced by Walt Disney Co. Chief Operating Officer Tom Staggs at an investors conference Thursday.
