Dole Whip

New Dole Whip Float Collectible Cup

In addition to the Tiki Juice Bar in Disneyland Park, guests can now pick up the pineapple refreshment of dreams at various outlets throughout the park including Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar plus poolside at the Disneyland Hotel.

Additionally, at hotel locations, guests can also add a splash of rum to their Dole Whip Float for that authentic Jack Sparrow experience.

Hopefully these will soon appear in Orlando and quench our thirst and collecting needs!

Exploring Disney World: The Water Parks

When booking your once in a lifetime holiday to Disney World, Orlando, you are going to need to putsome thought into what time of year you should go with regards to the weather. Of course, we all want our skin to have that typical American sun kissed glow, but if you do find the humidity, and the intensely bright sunshine just too much to bare, then it would be well worth heading off for a day or two in the direction of the Disney World Resort water parks.

SeaWorld in Trouble?

SeaWorld was dealt a major blow on Thursday when it was ruled that it can only expand it's San Diego killer whale tanks if it no longer carries out captive breeding.

The California Coastal Commission approved the expansion but voted 11-1 for an amendment forbidding SeaWorld from breeding, selling or transferring its whales, a spokeswoman said.

SeaWorld's New Perk a game changer

SeaWorld have been having a terrible time lately with stock values plummeting, attendance figures down to early 90's numbers and revenues down 85%!; It's a desperate time for Orlando's third park.

Over the last couple of years it seems that the public have rapidly lost it's appetite for giant marine animals performing tricks in small pools, meanwhile SeaWorld has been desperately running PR to try to convince everyone that they are really lovely (with little success).

Trouble for Skycoaster

Trouble for Skycoaster

The much anticipated Orlando Skycoaster project which is hoping to open on International Drive hit a setback yesterday when Orange County’s planning and zoning board on Oct. 15 voted 4-3 against a recommendation of the $460 million Skyplex retail and entertainment destination. However, the decision does not mean the project is dead, as the Orange County commission still has to vote on the project at a December meeting.

IAAPA

A sneak peak of rides to come...

The wonderful Tim Tracker recently visited IAAPA 2015. IAAPA is basically the 'Ideal Home Show' for rollercoaster manufacturers, it's an amazing way to see what we'll soon be riding in our favourite them parks a few years from now.

Though the video as Tim explored the show, you'll see glimpses of rides and ride systems which we recently mentioned in our 'Top Forthcoming Attractions' feature, especially for the Universal and Busch Gardens parks.

Take a look and see for yourself :)

Skyplex

Skyplex, world's tallest roller coaster, a step closer for Orlando.

Orlando's hope of having the world's tallest roller coaster is one step closer to becoming reality.

Orange County's board of commissioners granted zoning approval Tuesday night for the $500 million Skyplex Orlando project. The unanimous vote means that developer Joshua Wallack and his family can move to the planning and construction phase on their project to build the 570-foot "Skyscraper" coaster and surrounding entertainment complex on Orlando's International Drive.
