Mother’s Online Rant Calling for Childless Guests to Be Banned From Disney World
An online debate has erupted after a Facebook post was made by an angry and upset mother, claiming all childless guests at Disney World should be banned.
Warning : Very strong language used
The post, screen grabbed and shown above, claims that these guests increase the lines, make it difficult for mothers to experience the park with children and ruin their vacation.
It has caused quite the backlash, with online debates happening for and against the post.
To add further controversy, The New York Post has weighed in, with reporter Johnny Oleksinski claiming that people who go to Disney World without children are “weird”. He wrote “Millennials are indeed in an unhealthy relationship with Disney, having granted control of so much of their leisure time and personality to a single, enormous corporate entity meant for children. Another oft ignored problem with letting a kids brand control your adult life is the stupidity and culture ignorance it leads to.”
Many have argued back that Walt Disney’s original vision was that Disney theme parks were not just made for children, but created as a park for all people of all ages to enjoy. With his response he shared the original Disneyland manifesto that read: “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past – and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.”
