Star Wars 'Force Friday' preview merchandise available today!

Visitors to Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be able to get a preview and even purchase the brand new Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise today! The event which was originally going to be a special ticket event is now going to be completely free to the public.

Clearly there is some Jedi Mind Trick(ery) at play here. The event, spanning September 3 and 4 is not just being hosted at the parks and features nonstop live reveals of upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" product lines on the official "Star Wars" YouTube channel. Reveals showing the latest geektastic gear will span 15 cities in 12 countries. Unveilings of some goods, such as a Sphero BB-8 droid you can call your very own, already took place Thursday.

Fans will want to be the first to get their hands on some specialty Star Wars merchandise, exclusive to Disney Parks and Disney retailers.

At the stoke of midnight, at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, guests will be able to be the first to purchase apparel, pins, toys, retail MagicBands (Walt Disney World Resort only), Vinylmation figures, and more. Unlike previous merchandise events, purchase limits will apply, so there will be a greater chance of you getting your exclusive merchandise…and less of a chance of having to buy it for 10x times the regular cost on Ebay.

Walt Disney World will have the event at midnight at Once Upon A Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Disneyland guests will get the event at World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney District.
